Bright but socially awkward Lou grew up in the city thinking her mother was her only living relative. She is surprised to learn that her grandfather has just died and her grandmother is still living in a small village by the sea. Lou packs her bags, moves in with her mischievous grandmother and has her orderly life overthrown.
Lou is a super bright woman, but socially awkward – to the point of being neurotic. She’s a woman who speaks her mind, which is not to everyone’s taste. Led to believe that her maternal grandparents are long dead, she is shocked one day when she is told that her grandfather has just died and that her grandmother is still alive. This sets her off on a journey to a small village where she gets to know her mischievous grandmother Frida, a misplaced boy Tom and most importantly Henrik, who promptly falls head over heels in love with her. Lou’s journey is not to change, but to learn to love and find a home in those that love her.
