This is the result of the late 1990s project to remaster Red Dwarf.
All episodes of seasons 1-3 were remastered, improving picture and audio quality, and updating the special effects with some then current CGI. A partial widescreen effect was created by some clipping of the original 4:3 image.
This collection includes the above 18 episodes, plus the un-filmed "Bodysnatcher" script (narrated by Chris Barrie).
Also included documentaries about S1-2, and about the remastering project, plus deleted scenes etc.
I ripped this from the DVD boxset in about 2013.
The mp4s include English subtitles and where available , an additional subtitle track with notes on the remastering changes. The subtitle (SRT) files are included in each mp4 stream (not hardcoded) but have been included as discrete files here also.
The "Remastered" documentary includes the frank admission by Doug Naylor of his disappointment at the final results, and notes that no further episodes have been remastered.
