Suzi Quatro was one of the first leather wearing, motorcycle riding, in your face tough girl (and didn't give a flying "F" either!!) bands. Back in the early 70s she wasn't as popular as Joan Jett or Pat Benatar, but she knew how to "belt it out". Her best anthem ever was IMHO "Your Mama won't like me" on the one hand pursuing the "bad girl" let it all hang out image with male teens and then on the other hand pointedly singing to "all you 16 year old girls out there" belting out the strong message: "You gotta sit back and be cool and tell em one thing, You keep on knocking but you can't come in, come back tomorrow night and try again". What an incredible blast from the past.
