TheLocalBay 1.1.0.0 is a Windows Desktop program designed to search 'archive' Files of TPB and KAT and results are ready clickable for 'Magnet via Client'
The History:
Sometime ago a TPB archive appeared online for downloading and people were asking all over "what do we do with this"
I saw ideas and answers of which none really made any sense.. It's an archive right, nothing more... WRONG!
Then came along TheLocalBoy with this little app to search the archive pending what your searching for via magnets.
It then hit me quicker than a starving child chasing a cheeseburger that this little ditty has opened the flood gates to potential, so i contacted the owner and threw some ideas and now 1.1.0.0. is born..
How's It Work:
basically the first line in this post!
what to do, download this for starters
Open the .rar and place away (Full Folder) from the desktop and then (Open) create a shortcut from the TheLocalBoy 1.1.0.0. to the desktop.
Now i have not added any archives to this, don't worry.. the info .txt gives you the links to both TPB and KAT archives and so does the Help tab in 1.1.0.0
* Grab both or 1 archive it doesn't matter it's designed to run Both TPB and KAT or either one
* After you have grabbed the 'archives' open up the .rar and move it into the folder, Best to have all in one spot just incase if you plan to 'archive lol this folder' via a Pen Drive-USB, External or Disc. (recommended)
Features of TheLocalBoy 1.1.0.0
*After doing as above, open the Edit tab then Settings and a box will appear for you to add both TPB and KAT archives (We recommend both) then click X to close. but like i said before you can choose 1
*At the bottom of 1.1.0.0 you will see 'archive source' select it and select either TPB or KAT
*Search - Type what your searching for and when it's finished searching a list of available will appear and then you simply click the chosen file name and utorrent (this is what i use along with googlechrome) will open with the magnet and your good to go! Thats it.. Brilliant, welcome to the future...
*Get info - you will see this on every found searched item.. this link will lead you to the found 'site' for that reason you can ignore this if you want.
Now if every site got closed down you still have this wonderful 'folder tucked away'
Other Stuff
WHILE YOU ARE OFFLINE THIS PROGRAM WILL STILL WORK WHEN ADDING TO UTORRENT, IT SITS IN UTORRENT WAITING FOR YOU TO GO ONLINE!
*Added utorrent 2.2.1 (Only because i plan to carry this with me via a USB stick, saves me downloading it on another computer) if it's needed..
*KAT updates it's archive hourly and hourly and daily dumps is available freely by the supplied link..
*TPB unsure
There is nothing illegal about a search desktop app for archives and creating magnets is not illegal either. and never will be.
*Whats the benifits of this program: it was created due to all the torrent problems that are happening around sites.. Magnet is the future and this program is just another way that you don't have to have a site opened, just a really good option.
Tip: most 'verified' tend to use their name on the end of a file name so searching a 'username' is a great benifit.
The only downfall is this is exactly a archive only from the dates that both TPB and KAT 'archives' are dated
Tip: don't forget to delete utorrent from your friends mums computer after opening it via the 'folder' from your USB stick.. that will get you busted by your friends mum and the chances of dating his sister will be out the door along with you... Lmao!!!!
