Prologue: This is my second 1080p encode with a new SVT-AV1 patch I made for version 1.7. It improves motion quality at Mode 4 by disabling speedups and increasing the search range. Increased motion search range (Mode 3), No distance based hme resizing (Mode 2), No prune candidates (Mode 2) and No early exit (Mode 3). The result is impeccable motion quality. This patch is only supported at 1080p resolutions.

Encoder Note: Total encoding time was 8h 40m on an i9-12900k. SVT-AV1 v1.7 Mode 4 was used with Mode 2 motion quality. The video stream was compressed from 26.6GB AVC to 6.69GB AV1. Video compression ratio is 4 to 1. (2 to 1 after AV1 efficiencies) The bitrate of the video stream is 7.5Mbps in AV1. This threshold preserves an insane amount of fine details. 81% of the file size is the video quality. 5% English OPUS 425kbps 7.1 audio, 15% French, Spanish, Italian, German, Polish OPUS 256kbps 5.1 audio. Differences between the Bluray are virtually impossible to spot.

Distribution note: This movie will be distributed with a 16MB piece size for rapid seeding with fewer resources. Enjoy the fast download speeds. Please note effective immediately, each IP Address is only allowed 1 connection to my seed box. I often seed multiple torrents at once. Simply keep the torrents running and they will be serviced one at a time. Avoidance of resource duplication greatly improves throughput.

MKVToolNix: This is free software you can use to remove audio tracks in my encodes. 15% of the file size (1GB) is spent on multi-language audio. There is no reason to be greedy and exclude these tracks. They can be removed in 90s. Hundreds of people will benefit over the life of the torrent. OPUS so high quality and efficient, they can be added without blowing up the file size.

















UserHEVC screenshots are now JPEG tone mapped for rapid page loading speeds and more accurate video quality representation.
