I remember many people asking me to review this program and keep track of its updates, so I decided to do just that. So, if you decide to download XYplorer , you'll get a fairly advanced file manager that works on all versions of Windows, from Windows 98 to the latest. The developer claims it's a worthy replacement for the standard File Explorer—which is certainly true, but I don't think it's entirely fair to compare anything to File Explorer. XYplorer has a tabbed system that lets you quickly navigate through the sections of your hard drive you need. I really like this in Total. It's really convenient; I always have five tabs open. This program has a fairly powerful file search engine, though I haven't used it myself, so I don't know what it's all about, but I think it searches files quickly and accurately, which is probably what you're talking about. Among other things, XYplorer can preview multimedia files—a plus, I tried it, and it works perfectly. Note that XYplorer can work with HEX and ASCII files, or rather, view them, edit MP3 tags, and you have a wide range of tools for customizing the appearance of program windows, changing the color and style of folders, and more. I also liked that the manager doesn't leave entries in the system registry while working on your computer, so you can run the program from any flash drive—a significant advantage. When navigating image folders, XYplorer can display thumbnails of images. You can also view both installed and uninstalled TrueType and Type-1 font files. You can work with and print office files, and all selected files will contain maximum information about themselves. XYplorer can export data to CSV formats. If you need to change the font size on the fly, this is also quite possible. There is also full integration into the Windows shell, that is, Explorer. This is such a powerful development, I hope that XYplorer will be useful to you. I personally liked the tool. Just don't forget to register it, otherwise it will extort money from you.
