Jim, Oz, Paul e Kevin sono quattro studenti di un liceo nel Michigan. Tutti abbastanza goffi e imbranati, frequentano molte feste studentesche senza mai riuscire ad ottenere quello che a loro interessa. Un giorno allora lanciano una scommessa: dovranno riuscire a fare l'amore per la prima volta prima della data di chiusura dell'anno scolastico che segnerà la loro entrata al college. Restano loro tre settimane di tempo. Purtroppo l'impresa non è facile. Le occasioni non mancano ma, al momento opportuno, prevale l'impaccio. Così Jim prova a servirsi di Internet ma le nuove tecnologie non lo aiutano. Anche i comportamenti delle ragazze con cui si ritrovano non sono chiari, e gli equivoci si sprecano. Quando sembra che alcune coppie siano riuscite ad assestarsi, arriva la festa di fine anno e tutto viene rimesso in discussione. La scommessa non è vinta né persa. La mattina dopo, i quattro amici si ritrovano per un brindisi al passato e al futuro.
Jim, Oz, Kevin and Paul are four high school students in Michigan. All quite awkward and clumsy, attending many student parties without ever being able to get what they care. One day, then they throw a bet: will be able to make love for the first time before the closing date of the school year that will mark their entry to college. Remain their three weeks time. Unfortunately, the business is not easy. The opportunities are not lacking, but, at the appropriate time, the awkwardness prevails. So Jim tries to use the Internet but new technologies will not help. the girls' behavior even where you can find are not clear, and misunderstandings abound. When it seems that some couples are unable to settle, it comes the end of year party and everything is called into question. The bet is not won or lost. The next morning, the four friends get together for a toast to the past and the future.
