Summary:

Jigsaw has disappeared. Along with his new apprentice Amanda, the puppet-master behind the cruel, intricate games that have terrified a community and baffled police has once again eluded capture and vanished. Amanda, erede di John, prepara dei giochi, rapendo Troy, un uomo che ha passato la sua vita entrando e uscendo dalla prigione, e la detective Kerry. Queste trappole, a differenza di quelle di Saw, non lasciano via di fuga; infatti sia Troy che Kerry muoiono nonostante avessero fatto ciò che era stato loro indicato. Successivamente Amanda rapisce la dottoressa Lynn dell'ospedale di Gordon; questa viene portata nella stanza dove c'è John in un letto, in fin di vita. Amanda pone sul collo di Lynn un collare pieno di pallettoni di fucile che esploderanno nel caso in cui l'elettrocardiogramma di John dovesse indicare che egli è morto. Viene dunque rivelato che c'è un altro uomo sotto test, il marito Jeff, che ha perso suo figlio in un incidente stradale; dovrà decidere se salvare alcun persone implicate o lasciarle morire. Lynn verrà liberata dal collare se questo uomo supererà i giochi e se lei sarà riuscita a tenere in vita Jigsaw fino a quel momento. Alla fine Amanda spara a Lynn e Jeff, che nel frattempo ha raggiunto la stanza senza riuscire a salvare nessuno, appena entra spara a sua volta ad Amanda, colpendola al collo. Infine taglia la gola a John con una sega circolare. Morto l'Enigmista, muore anche Lynn, uccisa dal collare che detona, distruggendole la faccia.
