Kate and Charlie like to have a good time. Their marriage thrives on a shared fondness for music, laughter… and getting smashed. When Kate’s partying spirals into hard-core asocial behavior, compromising her job as an elementary schoolteacher, something’s got to give. But change isn’t exactly a cakewalk. Sobriety means she will have to confront the lies she’s been spinning at work, her troubling relationship with her mother, and the nature of her bond with Charlie.

Kate en Charlie genieten graag van het leven. Hun huwelijk gedijt op een gedeelde voorliefde voor muziek, humor en... veel drinken. Wanneer Kate's leven van feesten verandert in asociaal gedrag heeft dit invloed op haar baan als lerares op een basisschool. Ze zal moeten veranderen maar dit blijkt niet makkelijk te zijn. Ze zal de confrontatie aan moeten gaan met haar leugens op het werk, haar moeilijke relatie met haar moeder en haar band met Charlie.
Storyline
Kate and Charlie Hannah have a relationship well lubricated with alcohol, but Kate finally finds her chemical appetites have gotten completely out of control. With the help of an ex-addict friend at work, Kate finds a support group that helps her begin to conquer her addictions. However, that recovery proves just part of a larger personal challenge to rebuild her life even as her marriage with her drunken husband deteriorates.
